If you have a special someone you are hoping to impress to get that coveted New Year’s Eve kiss or under the mistletoe, you can show off how walking-push-up-400pxcoordinated and strong you are with this exercise. Brains and brawn?! Irresistible!

Target Muscle Group: Chest, arms, shoulders, core.

Performance Points:

  • Start in a high plank position, hands aligned directly under the shoulders.
  • Perform a pushup by bending and extending at the elbows.
  • At the top of the push-up, cross hands over and step feet over to move to the right.
  • Perform a pushup and then step back in the other direction.

Modifications:

  • Level 1: Perform pushups off of your knees or on an incline (eg. on a step, or wall) and move only the hands over.
  • Level 2: Perform pushups from your toes and move with arms and legs.
  • Level 3: Add extra steps/crossovers between pushups, have your small family member sit on you while you push-up!
