water versus swimming flat. An effective drill to develop good body rotation is the 6-kick,switch.

6 Kick Switch

First start by flutter kicking with one shoulder pointed up to the ceiling and the bottom arm in a streamlined position. Then take three strokes and do another six kicks on the opposite side. This drill establishes good body positioning so that you do not remain flat in the water.
