Over the past while, Web Services has been moving and updating the entire MacEwan.ca website in the university’s new content management system. Only two segments remain—the home page and the About MacEwan section—which are scheduled to be finished in August.

What to expect

One of the most exciting improvements is that the entire website will now be mobile-friendly. This means that anyone visiting MacEwan.ca will be able to fully view and navigate the site on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. No matter the size of the device being used, the content will scale to the size of the device. Design improvements include streamlined navigation, more images and searchable news and events feeds. As well, you can expect to see fresh, engaging content. Thank you to the faculty, staff and administrators who contributed their time and expertise to updating or reviewing content.

What’s next

After the home page and the About segment are moved to the new system, the Web Services team will conduct a final review of the entire MacEwan.ca website, ensuring the thoroughness and accuracy of all content. As well, we will continue to check links and redirect page visits as needed, ensuring a seamless experience for end users. We will also conduct analytics testing and user testing to make improvements where they are needed for the primary audience. (While the website serves many purposes, the primary audience for our website is future students and their influencers.)
