Do you know what happens to MacEwan’s surplus furniture, equipment and technology?

MacEwan sells most of our surplus furniture and specialty equipment through Alberta Online Auction. This is a government-run auction site on which items are posted for sale at a fraction of the cost. Check it out as there are new postings weekly. It is available to the public, so anyone can make a bid on items!

Looking to buy computers or other technology? Check out the MacEwan Bookstore website and social media for updates on what is available and when! All MacEwan’s old laptops, desktops, projectors and other end-user devices that have been decommissioned are sold at discounted rates and are available for all to purchase. Anything that can’t be repurposed or sold is donated to registered charities, broken down and recycled, or otherwise disposed. So far this year, we have diverted over 34 tonnes of material (wood, metal, etc) from the landfill through an asset disposal program!
