As part of MacEwan’s efforts to protect its data, multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required for faculty and staff for all services that utilize MacEwan single sign on. This includes:

  • myPortal
  • Learn (Blackboard)
  • PeopleSoft
  • Microsoft 365
  • Google

While this level of protection has been optional up until now, most faculty and staff have chosen to be fully protected. The small number of users that had opted out of protecting all services will now be automatically protected. The devices you’ve set up for MFA (e.g., mobile app, phone, security key) will continue to function as before.
