We are excited to announce the newest addition to the School of Continuing Education (SCE). The Professional Health Education department will include select programming from MacEwan’s Centre of Professional Nursing Education (CPNE) and the movement of specialized staff and instructors to join the SCE in Allard Hall.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Jessica Wyllie and Nicole Simpson, academic coordinators and Jo-Anne Kwiatkowski, information and registration assistant, as integral staff members to the Professional Health Education team. They will be joined by Naomi Langlois, who brings with her years of expertise managing Basic Life Support courses for MacEwan.

What does this mean for the programs? The continued dedication to academic excellence and quality of learning is a priority, as the SCE will maintain the same admission requirements, curriculum, and credentialing. The move to SCE  will allow for greater flexibility in offerings, delivery options, and student reach in expanded domestic and international markets.

Healthcare professionals will have more accessible options for professional development, credentialing requirements and lifelong learning that supports their practice and commitment to care. Professional Health Education is an important part of the healthcare community in Alberta, and the School of Continuing Education is committed to supporting ongoing career development.
