Construction notice:

Lane Closures at the 109 Street and 104 Avenue Intersection for Drainage Work – Area 2.

On or around April 25, Marigold Infrastructure Partners will begin drainage works at the southeast corner of the 109 Street and 104 Avenue intersection.
To accommodate this, traffic near this intersection will be shifted away from the work zone. Traffic on 109 Street will be shifted west and traffic on 104 Avenue will be shifted north. Traffic on 104 Avenue has also been permanently reduced to two lanes in either direction.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, however, detours may be implemented. Please follow project wayfinding signage.

Construction will occur during the day (7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday).

This work is expected to last one month.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

Drivers:

  • Traffic on 109 Street will be shifted west.
  • Traffic on 104 Avenue will be shifted north.
  • Traffic on 104 Avenue between 107 Street and 109 Street has been permanently reduced to two lanes in either direction.
  • Left turns will continue to be prohibited from southbound on 109 St and from westbound on 104 Avenue.

Pedestrians:

  • The east crosswalk across 104 Avenue on 109 Street will be closed. Please use the west crosswalk.
  • Detours will be in place. Please follow project wayfinding signage.

Other impacts for all phases:

  • Construction work will occur during daytime hours (7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday).
  • There will be noise and vibration associated with this work. Every effort will be made to reduce the impact to the public.
