Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, begins this year on April 2, 2022. Some members of the MacEwan community might be participating in the month which includes fasting for 30 days (sunrise to sunset), prayer, charity and reflection. Eid-al-Fitr marks the end of the month of Ramadan and is marked as a time to celebrate with family, friends and community.

During this time, students (as well as faculty and staff) may require accommodations to support the observance of the month. The following MacEwan policies and procedures provide guidance on how best to support our duty to accommodate:
