Q: My students said that they can’t get into my course?

A: By default, MacEwan Blackboard course shells are unavailable to students; instructors must make it available to students when they are ready. This video tutorial will show you the steps you can follow to make your course available for student access.

Q: Where can my students learn more about how to use Blackboard?

A: This Student Blackboard Orientation video playlist will take your students from logging in to navigating the environment and completing activities in your Blackboard courses.

Q: What is the best way for me to share recorded videos with students? They take a long time to be uploaded into my Blackboard course.

A: With large course copies, we will be monitoring course copies and reaching out to assist faculty with these courses. Video files, in general, are quite large in file size and will not be suitable to be shared in its original form in Blackboard. Rather, we recommend that you use Kaltura and linking to them from inside Blackboard. Learn more at this video playlist.
