MacEwan University’s United Way Committee is looking for a volunteer co-chair.

The United Way Committee
The United Way is an international organization dedicated to creating pathways out of poverty through community programs – many of which have helped MacEwan’s own students by providing for basic needs, providing access to education and supporting mental health. MacEwan’s United Way Committee helps connect students with United Way resources and supports the United Way with an annual fundraising campaign.

Co-Chair role
The United Way Committee is looking for a co-chair. This is an opportunity to invest in your community, strengthen MacEwan’s profile as an active community leader, develop leadership skills and contribute to meaningful change on our campus and beyond. The co-chairs work with the rest of the committee and the United Way team to build employee engagement by developing a company culture of helping others. Co-chairs also work with community and post-secondary sector partners to develop initiatives to support the United Way and our community members who are served by the United Way. Responsibilities include chairing meetings; developing awareness, communication and fundraising plans and strategies; organizing events and engaging with students, faculty and staff to identify and address needs in our campus community.

All staff and faculty are welcome to volunteer for this role. For more information or to apply, please contact Nadia Goodhart at goodhartn@macewan.ca by August 22.
