Many sections of the MacEwan.ca website will soon look quite different, as they are being rebuilt in a new content management system and a new mobile-friendly design. The first phase of this web project, set to go live near the end of August, concentrates on the academic programs. Subsequent phases will include rebuilding news, events, the MacEwan.ca home page and remaining web segments.

Global navigation
To work effectively on mobile devices, the MacEwan website’s global navigation had to be trimmed down. Instead of five main pieces of global navigation with a number of sub-navigation items, the new global navigation will be four main pieces linking to a landing page for each from which users can navigate.

Improved search
Other enhancements include an improved search tool (still powered by Google but more effective than the current search) and an ability to search and filter program lists.

As we anticipate applications to the academic year 2021/22 opening on October 1, 2020, our web users will be able to navigate updated and compelling web segments that are easy to navigate on mobile devices.
