MacEwan University offers many services to support students’ needs. Here are a few CHARM finds particularly useful to support mental health and well-being on campus.

MacEwan University Health Centre

The MUHC is the home for health care services for MacEwan University students, faculty and staff.

The centre provides comprehensive physical and mental health care, including disease prevention, health promotion, acute care, and chronic care. The centre offers one-stop access to medical teams led by senior physicians, supported by primary care nurses, medical assistants, and mental health professionals. The teams are supported by a full range of allied health disciplines including dieticians, pharmacists, and referral screening coordinators.

Students’ Association of MacEwan University

The Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU) is a non-profit organization working independently from MacEwan University to support students. Their purpose is to enrich the student experience by focusing on their non-academic needs through an array of student-driven programs and services.

SAMU is governed by elected student representatives who set the strategic vision on behalf of students. With support from over 50 full- and part-time staff, they keep their mandate student-focused to achieve their vision. SAMU is proud to be an organization serving students, inspired by students.

WPS provides mental health support to students enrolled in at least 1-credit course at MacEwan University.
