Are you passionate about academic writing, meticulous about grammar and committed to clarity in scholarly communication? Pedagogical Inquiry and Practice, our new peer-reviewed Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) journal, is seeking copy editors to join our editorial team for volunteer service positions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure clarity, consistency and correctness in scholarly manuscripts
- Edit for grammar, punctuation, style and adherence to APA
- Maintain author voice while improving readability
- Collaborate with authors and editors to refine final drafts
- Meet deadlines and follow the journal’s publishing schedule
Qualifications:
- Strong command of language (i.e., English) and academic writing conventions
- Experience in copy-editing academic or scholarly texts
- Familiarity with APA 7th Edition
- Attention to detail and ability to work within editorial guidelines
- Prior experience with academic publishing is an asset
