In this session, faculty will hear about some of the types of AI tools students are likely to be accessing and the types of assignments that are most easily offloaded to AI programs to complete. We will discuss how AI impacts various learning outcomes differently and why our approaches to AI use must be rooted in disciplinary and pedagogical contexts.

Participants will then consider appropriate and inappropriate uses of AI in their courses and explore how assessments may be redesigned to support responsible AI use.
