In the Summer of 2022, when public health restrictions were lifting, Dr. Gail Low and her research team got a nationally representative snapshot of the mentally healthy living strategies that older Canadians were using to reduce their anxiety or stress due to the pandemic. This laid the groundwork for a mental health recipe book.
We worked with a talented chef and digital artisan to develop/test actual food recipes for pairing with mentally healthy living strategies and to create a palatable any day any place learning resource.
Mentally healthy living as a basic human staple. While cooking, take stock of coping strategy popularity, anxiety impactful strategies and get sage advice about social isolation. Just as we live and breathe, so should we be ‘Cooking up calm.’
