Taking Pride is a series of peer-led healthy relationship conversations by and for LGBTQ+ students. The program was developed by 2SLGBTQIA+ young people (aged 16–24) who are members of McCreary’s Youth Research Academy (YRA), with support from 2SLGBTQIA+ adults and allies at McCreary and the University of British Columbia’s Stigma and Resilience Among Vulnerable Youth Centre (SARAVYC).
Taking Pride consists of six, one-hour sessions where students will learn about topics such as values and boundaries, consent, and conflict resolution.
The sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 4 – 5 p.m., from January 23 – March 5 2024. Click here to register for the program or to learn more.
Please share widely with students.
