As we wrap up the Fall 2023 term, I hope you will join me in taking a moment to reflect on the many incredible things that have happened at MacEwan this year, and to look ahead at where 2024 will take us.

When I look at the progress we have made in achieving our strategic vision of Teaching Greatness, I am so proud. The work that is happening in every corner of this university is resonating across our campus and in our community. I want to thank each of you for your dedication and commitment. It is truly appreciated and does not go unnoticed.

The last few months have also been challenging with conflicts playing out across the globe. I encourage us to embrace our diversity and engage in discussion with kindness and a willingness to hear and understand one another. Let’s work together to continue to build a community on a foundation of respect, safety and celebration of our shared humanity.

While the holiday season means different things to each of us – reflection, remembrance, family, community, caring, tradition celebration and much more – I hope that whatever form your well-deserved break takes, it is filled with joy, peace and renewal.

Please take a moment to enjoy the attached video celebrating all that makes MacEwan University great.

Happy holidays,

Dr. Annette TrimbeePresident and Vice-Chancellor
