As the Fall term approaches, I am reaching out to remind the MacEwan community about Headversity, an innovative app for supporting personal wellness.
Positive results
Free to MacEwan employees/students, Headversity is designed to help anyone think, feel and be better both personally and professionally/academically through quick, interactive training sessions. It’s like having a personalized resilience trainer in your pocket – and it’s free for the MacEwan community!
Headversity has something for everyone … whether you’re feeling stressed or depressed, having trouble focusing, working on building your personal brand or looking at effectively managing your overall mental wellbeing and emotions.
Using Headversity is easy and gets results – more than 95 per cent of MacEwan Headversity users reported that they found the content useful and relevant and were motivated to act positively after using the app!
Focus on you
The Headversity app focuses on six core skills:
- Confidence – practice positive self-talk and visualization, and cultivate a sense of inner calm, self-assurance and mental readiness.
- Purpose – explore your passions, values and strengths, and take intentional steps towards creating a fulfilling life path.
- Compassion – reduce stress and stigma in your life. develop your understanding of others by practicing empathy, compassion and fairness.
- Grit – use determination, perseverance and positive mindset to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth and success.
- Focus – channel your awareness on to the present moment to cultivate greater clarity, calmness and self-awareness.
- Recharge – prioritize self-care activities that nourish your physical wellbeing.
