We offer three ways for you to get ready for MacEwan’s new digital learning environment, mêskanâs, so you can prepare for the change from Blackboard to mêskanâs for all courses this fall.
1. Attend the two-day mêskanâs Camp!
Camp #1 – April 11 and 12
Camp #2 – April 19 and 20
Come join us in a two-day, hands-on, face-to-face mêskanâs Camp and walk away with elements of a developed mêskanâs course, ready to be delivered to your students. Camp #1 is currently full but there are still spaces for Camp #2 (April 11 and 12) and Camp #3 (April 19 and 20).
2. Mix and match face-to-face and virtual sessions to learn mêskanâs your way!
Can’t fit the two-day mêskanâs Camp into your schedule? Not on campus this spring/summer? Join us in mêskanâs Path workshops and customize your learning by selecting from the list below:
- Organizing your course content effectively
- Improving student communication and discussion
- Working with student groups
- Creating quizzes and surveys
- Creating and marking assignments
- Using Gradebook
- Converting Blackboard course to mêskanâs
- Tailoring your vendor converted course for teaching
For registration information, please visit the Centre for Teaching and Learning website.
3. Arrange a one-on-one appointment with a Centre for Teaching and Learning staff member
If you need help updating your course after vendor-conversion. Email us at dle@macewan.ca.
