Don’t get locked out of MacEwan services this holiday season — make sure you have multiple ways of authenticating.
In case your primary method is lost or fails, it’s a good idea to have more than one method of authentication. For example, in addition to a security key that plugs into your laptop (available for free from the technology support desk in 7-292) you can also use:
- A phone number (voice call). Use your work, home or cell phone — or all three.
- Text message to your mobile phone.
- The DuoMobile application on your mobile device (phone or tablet).
- Fingerprint reader (available on Macs using the Chrome browser only).
Set up additional methods to ensure you get access. The technology support live chat will be providing limited support during the holidays.
