The Office of Research Services virtual webinars continue this term with more special guests to support MacEwan researchers and community partnerships.

EDI: A Federal Granting Agency Perspective
Thursday, March 18 from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

In support of MacEwan’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Week, the Office of Research Services presents Karine Morin, director, Policy and Interagency Affairs at NSERC. Morin will discuss how federal granting agencies are approaching EDI in relation to their activities. This includes the concept of research excellence across funding programs, and how these initiatives are intended to contribute to increasing EDI in the research ecosystem. The webinar will also highlight the advancement of work through the Dimensions pilot program, which aims to foster transformational change within post-secondary institutions by helping identify and eliminate systemic barriers and inequities.

At 3:30 p.m., we invite you to attend a special MacEwan EDI Week panel discussion of the documentary film Picture a Scientist, led by Dr. Hilary Corlett. Register for the discussion with Karine Morin here.

Information about the documentary, panel discussion and screening access is available here.
