Join us for a dynamic information session where we’ll talk about Pedagogical Inquiry and Practice, our newly launched, open-access, peer-reviewed Canadian journal dedicated to the scholarship of teaching and learning in post-secondary contexts.

Grounded in practice and broad in methodology, PIP welcomes studies on everything from innovative course design and education technology to accessibility, equity, student experience and the ethics of AI in teaching. Whether you’re actively researching or simply curious about how the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) can inform your teaching, this journal offers a welcoming gateway even if you’re new to SoTL.

In this session, we will

  • Examine the journal’s aims, scope, and audience
  • Clarify the submission process, timelines, and peer-review process
  • Explore how your teaching-focused inquiry can become a publishable contribution
  • Provide guidance on next steps and key support you’ll find through the Centre for Teaching and Learning
  • Bring your questions, ideas, and aspirations. Let’s imagine together how your teaching practice can become scholarship and how PIP can be a platform for that transformation.
