The university and the Grant MacEwan University Faculty Association (GMUFA) met on January 20 to clarify the application of Article 14 of the collective agreement as it relates to annual reports. Together, we have agreed on a memorandum of understanding that outlines how situations will be handled when a member’s annual report does not include sufficient information for a performance review.
All members are responsible for completing and submitting their annual reports in accordance with Article 14. Under this agreement, if a dean does not have adequate information to complete a review, the rating of “Unable to Review” may be used solely in this limited circumstance. In such cases, the dean will offer to meet with the member to discuss expectations regarding the content of future annual reports.
