Interdisciplinary Dialogue Project (IDP) 2026: Food Matters marks both the 10th and final year of the IDP at MacEwan University. Over the past decade, the project has brought together faculty, students, staff and members of the public to explore social justice issues through interdisciplinary dialogue and community engagement.
Launching in January, Food Matters uses food as a lens to explore culture, identity, inequity and care, highlighting both the disparities that shape access to nourishment and the ways shared food traditions can foster connection and understanding.
