The Interdisciplinary Dialogue Project, together with MacEwan Library, Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre (URDC), kihêw waciston, SAMU, Sustainability and MacEwan Eats, is collecting all food-related events, programs and initiatives for a shared campus calendar as part of IDP 2026: Food Matters.

Food shapes identity, culture, memory and community. This year’s IDP explores food through many perspectives, from community stories to the histories and politics of famine, teachings on fasting, and connections to land. The Food Round-Up will bring these conversations together in one place.

Have a food-related event, workshop or project?

We’d love to include it! Whether you’re hosting a meal, leading a talk, supporting food security, or highlighting cultural food traditions, please send the IDP team at urdc@macewan.ca.

Let’s build a semester of shared stories, conversations and learning experiences together!
