Brew some tea (or coffee) and join us for this collegial opportunity to discuss books that have influenced higher education teaching and learning.

Throughout our teaching lives, there are powerful readings that have had a longstanding impact on our teaching philosophies and practices. The Courage to Teach by Parker Palmer is one such reading that has inspired educators across higher education.

Come prepared to share your favourite passage from the work and how it has impacted your teaching practice. Feel free to share the passages that have confounded you. And we will hold space for listening to each other and discuss what to take forward for our teaching practice.

The book is in the MacEwan Library:

Palmer, P. J. (2017). The courage to teach: Exploring the inner landscape of a teacher’s life. John Wiley & Sons.
