Traffic Shift on 109 Street at 104 Avenue

This is a supplemental area notice for work previously mentioned in the following notice: Lane closures on 104 Avenue between 105 Street and 121 Street
On or around September 22, Marigold crews will be shifting construction on 109 Street at 104 Avenue to the southeast corner of the intersection.
To accommodate this, traffic on 109 Street at 104 Avenue will be shifted west and two north/south lanes will be maintained. Left and right turn movements will continue to be maintained as access permits. Traffic on 104 Avenue is currently shifted north and reduced to a single lane in either direction between 105 Street and 121 Street.
Pedestrian access is maintained on the north side of 104 Avenue between 105 Street and 121 Street. North/south pedestrian access will be maintained on the west side of 109 Street.
Construction activities will be performed during daytime hours (Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.); however, overnight work may be required. Marigold has obtained an overnight roadwork permit, in accordance with City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
This work is expected to last until the end of November.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
Drivers:
• Traffic on 109 Street at 104 Avenue will be shifted west.
• Two north/south lanes will be maintained on 109 Street at 104 Avenue.
• Left and right turn movements will be maintained as access permits.
• One lane in either direction is maintained on 104 Avenue between 105 Street and 121 Street.
Pedestrians:
• Pedestrian access on 109 Street will be shifted to the west side of the road.
• Please follow project wayfinding signage.
Other impacts:
• Construction will mainly occur during daytime hours (Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.); however, overnight work may be required.
• Marigold has obtained an overnight roadwork permit, in accordance with City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
• There will be noise associated with this work including that of heavy equipment and increased construction vehicle traffic in the area. Every effort will be made to reduce the impact to the public.
• Access to nearby businesses will be maintained. Please follow project wayfinding signage in the area.

• This work is expected to last until the end of November.
