The Coalition for Harm Reduction at MacEwan (CHARM) is now accepting art submissions for the Stories of Strength art exhibit for National Addiction Awareness Week!

CHARM is hosting a week focused on mental health, harm reduction, and recovery for National Addictions Awareness Week (November 17-21). We are seeking art submissions from students, staff, faculty and community members focusing on the “Stories of Strength” theme.

What is NAAW?

National Addictions Awareness Week (NAAW) highlights solutions to help address the harms related to alcohol and other drugs. It provides an opportunity for people in Canada to learn more about the causes and prevention of harms, talk about treatment and recovery, and advance solutions for change. We have learned what is possible if we all work together. It takes a wide range of perspectives and collective efforts to drive needed change (CCSA, 2023).

Who is CHARM?

The Coalition for Harm Reduction at MacEwan (CHARM) is a collaboration between campus and community members who are passionate about harm reduction and have common goals to support MacEwan University students and community members. CHARM works to create safe, inclusive spaces for conversations, connection, and learning that have the power to influence positive change, reduce stigma, and shape a community of support.
