As part of Ukraine Week at MacEwan, we invite everyone to Shockolad live in concert on Friday, October 10!

Ukrainian musicians from Lviv, Igor Hnydyn and Anastasija Litvinyuk, co-founders of Shockolad, serve as the 2025/2026 Gene Zwozdezdsky Artists in Residence at MacEwan University. Renowned across Europe’s world music scene, Shockolad blends jazz, folk, funk, and soulful improvisation into a sound that’s entirely their own. With deep Ukrainian roots and a fearless approach to experimentation, their performances are emotionally charged, musically rich, and full of energy.

Every concert is a journey. With raw, passionate, and deeply human jazz melodies, the boundaries between styles dissolve, creating an electric connection between artist and audience.

Date: Friday, October 10

Time: 7:00 p.m.

Tickets: Get your tickets here!

MacEwan staff can use PD funds to reimburse ticket expenses.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering them, don’t miss this chance to experience Shockolad live.
