On July 9, 2025, the Government of Alberta named Scott Kashuba as the new board chair for MacEwan University.

We will welcome Mr. Kashuba on August 15, 2025, when he will officially begin his term as chair of MacEwan University’s Board of Governors. He will serve a three-year term until August 14, 2028.

Mr. Kashuba has deep ties with MacEwan University. He is currently serving his second term as a member of the university’s Board of Governors. Mr. Kashuba also graduated from the Arts and Science Transfer program at MacEwan in 1984 and is a Distinguished Alumni Award recipient.

He currently also sits as the chair of the Alberta Motor Association Board of Governors, as a director of Bridgewater Bank and as a director of AMA Insurance Services Corporation. Mr. Kashuba has served as a chair, vice-chair and director of several Government of Alberta public agencies/crown corporations and community organizations.

Please join me in welcoming Mr. Kashuba in his new role at MacEwan University. I would also like to thank Carolyn Graham, who has served as our board chair since 2019, for her passionate leadership and dedication to MacEwan over the past six years.
