Faculty Development is offering two opportunities to join this popular online discussion about promotion this year:

  • May 29, 2-3:30 p.m.
  • June 6, 10-11:30 a.m.

Join us to get direct access to the University Promotion Committee members fresh from their deliberations at the start of May. Dr. Carla Lam, the Faculty Development Facilitator, will ask questions to clarify best practices for developing a successful promotion dossier, from organization and format to content and quantity.

All tenure-track faculty at MacEwan University may apply for promotion, but what does it take to achieve it?  The Collective Agreement outlines the tenure and promotion criteria, yet what they mean in practice is not always clear.

In this online Faculty Development session, you get direct access to the University Promotion Committee members fresh from their deliberations at the start of May.  Dr. Carla Lam, the Faculty Development Facilitator, will ask questions designed to clarify best practice for developing a successful promotion dossier – from organization and format, to content and quantity.

Since a well-constructed professional dossier is also required for extension or probation and tenure, all will take something away from this annual event.  Although the panel will be recorded, we encourage you to attend the meeting to have your specific questions addressed.
