An unattended bag, an oddly placed package, or an unsettling note deserves your attention. Your awareness helps ensure our campus community stays safe.

An object is suspicious if it

  • Is left in an unusual location or abandoned
  • Is given to you unexpectedly and from someone unfamiliar
  • Has strange smells, sounds or stains
  • Is wrapped excessively with tape, string, or packaging

What to do:

  • Do not touch, move or open it – even if it seems harmless.
  • Call Security Services at 780-497-5555 immediately.
  • Follow instructions provided by Security Services or emergency personnel.
  • Be prepared to evacuate the area if directed.
