Recognizing International Women’s Day at MacEwan University Library

Did you know that March 8 is International Women’s Day (IWD)? Every year, this global day recognizes the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while also calling for action toward gender equality.

Stop by the International Women’s Day display in the library where you’ll find a collection of published works by MacEwan’s esteemed faculty. This display is hosted by the Office of Human Rights and highlights the remarkable contributions of our faculty members who are women.

International Women’s Day Panel from CCDI – March 11

MacEwan employees also have access to an online IWD panel on March 11, from the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), plus a toolkit diversity calendar, commemoration guide and a wealth of additional resources that promote diversity and equity.

Register for the panel here.

Let’s take this opportunity to honour the achievements of women, educate ourselves further on the ongoing challenges faced today, and take meaningful action toward reaching gender equality.
