C2UExpo 2025, “Partners in Place” runs from May 12 to 15
The C2UExpo is a biennial international conference dedicated to community-based research. The aim is to showcase how community-campus partnerships are addressing global and local challenges t will feature activities such as interactive workshops, panels, symposia, field trips, a pop-up market and networking events.
The Festival and Awards Ceremony will take place on the evening of May 13 (5 – 8 p.m.)
This year’s awards ceremony will take place at Fort Edmonton Park alongside a festival-themed celebration. Guests can expect a cocktail-style reception at the Blatchford Hangar, a tour of the Indigenous People’s Experience while sampling traditional cuisine, access to the Al Rashid Mosque as well as games and rides in the Johnny J. Jones Midway and Exhibition. Guests are also encouraged to bring their families and friends! Children get into the festival for free and tickets are available at a discounted rate for those interested in bringing guests.

MacEwan staff and faculty are encouraged to attend the C2UExpo and/or the Festival and Awards Ceremony and are able to apply for reimbursement using their Access to MacEwan Activities funding.
Note: Since the Expo falls outside of this Fiscal period, applicants will need to wait until April 1st (in the new fiscal budget) to apply for funding.
How to apply:
- Get approval through Access to MacEwan Activities Fund by submitting via the online form.
- Register for the Expo and/or purchase your Festival and Awards Ceremony ticket.
- Expense per the instructions provided in the Access to MacEwan Activities Fund approval confirmation email.
