The 10 elevators in Buildings 5, 6, 7 and 8 are original to the buildings and built in 1993. Their control system are obsolete and parts are no longer available.
This project will replace the control system while simultaneously upgrade the elevators to meet the City of Edmonton’s current code.

Current status

The elevator north-east of the spiral staircase (elevator #5) in Building 7 is closed for upgrading and is scheduled to reopen on December 2. An issue with a component of the elevator has extended the outage period. This delay has resulted in a new schedule for subsequent outages of elevators yet to be worked on. See the revised schedule.
