The 10 elevators in Buildings 5, 6, 7 and 8 are original to the buildings and were built in 1993. Their control system is obsolete, and parts are no longer available.

This project will replace the control system while simultaneously upgrading the elevators to meet the City of Edmonton’s current code.

Current status

The elevator northeast of the spiral staircase in Building 7 is closed for upgrading and is scheduled to reopen approximately November 21. The exact go-live date is dependent on the date of inspection by the authorities, which is pending. The schedule of closures for all 10 elevators is attached. We regret the inconvenience caused.
