The Community of Practice for Faculty with ADHD is a supportive, inclusive group designed for faculty who navigate their careers while managing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This community is a safe space where faculty members can connect, share experiences and provide mutual support in addressing the unique challenges and opportunities that come with ADHD as an academic.
The purpose of this community is to create a network of peers who understand the intricacies of balancing academic responsibilities with ADHD. Through regular meetings, members will have the opportunity to exchange strategies, offer encouragement and collaborate on ways to enhance productivity, well-being and professional growth.
Objectives:
- Peer support: Foster a sense of community where faculty members with ADHD can openly discuss their experiences, share resources and receive support from their peers.
- Skill building: Offer workshops and discussions on practical strategies for time management, organization, focus and work-life balance tailored to the needs of faculty with ADHD.
- Resource sharing: Create a repository of tools, techniques and resources that can help faculty members with ADHD succeed in their academic roles.
