The Mitchell Art Gallery (MAG) team is bringing art to you this summer, with the MacEwan Art Collection!

Tracing its origins to the 1970s, the MacEwan Art Collection serves as a public resource for the campus and the broader community, containing over 350 artworks, including paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures displayed across campus. The MAG team works hard to manage and maintain the MacEwan Art Collection, giving it the care it deserves as an important resource for the MacEwan community.

This summer, Campus Art Collection Coordinator Dani Rice and Art Collections Assistant Kaz Haskins will be taking inventory of the collection, preparing condition reports and refreshing the artwork across campus. You may see them in hallways, offices and classrooms assessing and rearranging artwork from the collection. Keep your eyes peeled for exciting artwork changes that may be sharing space with you!

Stay tuned for more updates from the MAG team about the MacEwan Art Collection! If you have any questions regarding the collection and how to get involved, please reach out to mitchellartgallery@macewan.ca.
