On or around July 16, Marigold crews will begin work to prepare the area near 104 Avenue and 105 Street for upcoming drainage activities. This includes the installation of temporary streetlights and traffic signals, the removal of concrete sidewalks and medians, and then temporarily repaving the area. Once this work is complete, traffic can be shifted onto the repaved area allowing drainage work to begin.

This work will be performed during daytime off-peak hours (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) only. Each area will be secured and re-opened to vehicle traffic at the end of each shift. Pedestrian detours will remain in place until work in each area is completed.

104 Avenue and 105 Street – South
  1. 104 Avenue and 105 Street, south side – eastbound lane closure
  2. 104 Avenue and 105 Street, north side – westbound lane closure
  3. 105 Street and 104 Avenue, east side – northbound lane closure
  4. 105 Street and 104 Avenue, east side – southbound lane closure

To accommodate this, traffic will be shifted away from the work sites and reduced to a single lane. Pedestrian access will be maintained; however, detours will be implemented. Please follow project wayfinding signage.

This work is expected to last a total of one week.

Drivers:

  • The outside eastbound lane on 104 Avenue near 105 Street will be closed.
  • Traffic on 104 Avenue near 105 Street will be temporarily shifted away from the work zone.
  • Turn movements will be maintained.
  • Traffic lanes will be reopened at the end of each shift.

Pedestrians:

  • The west crosswalk across 104 Avenue will be closed.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained; however, detours will be in place. Please follow project wayfinding signage.
  • Pedestrian detours will remain in place until work in each area is completed.
104 Avenue and 105 Street – North

  • Traffic on 104 Avenue near 105 Street will be temporarily shifted away from the work zone.

  • The east crosswalk across 104 Avenue will be closed.
  • The east/west sidewalk on the north side of 104 Avenue between 104 Street and 105 Street will be closed.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained; however, detours will be in place. Please follow project wayfinding signage.
  • Pedestrian detours will remain in place until work in each area is completed.
105 Street and 104 Avenue

  • The outside northbound lane on 105 Street near 104 Avenue will be closed.
  • Traffic on 105 Street near 104 Avenue will be temporarily shifted away from the work zone.
  • Turn movements will be maintained.

Pedestrians:

  • The south crosswalk across 105 Street and the east crosswalk across 104 Avenue will be closed.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained; however, detours will be in place. Please follow project wayfinding signage.

105 Street and 104 Avenue – West

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

Drivers:

  • The outside southbound lane on 105 Street near 104 Avenue will be closed.
  • Traffic on 105 Street near 104 Avenue will be temporarily shifted away from the work zone.
  • Turn movements will be maintained.
  • Traffic lanes will be reopened at the end of each shift.

Pedestrians:

  • The north crosswalk across 105 Street and the west crosswalk across 104 Avenue will be closed.
  • A portion of the east/west sidewalk on the north side of 104 Avenue between 105 Street and 106 Street will be closed.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained; however, detours will be in place. Please follow project wayfinding signage.
  • Pedestrian detours will remain in place until work in each area is completed.
Other impacts for all phases:
  • Construction work will occur during daytime off-peak hours (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
  • There will be noise associated with this work. Every effort will be made to reduce the impact to the public.
