- Stay hydrated by drinking cool liquids even before feeling thirsty
- Spend your time in a shaded, cool place
- Keep cool with fans, water and ice
- Minimize sun exposure
- Choose lightweight, sweat-friendly clothing
- Take regular breaks to stay cool and hydrated
- Eat smaller but more frequent meals or snacks during the day
When does Environment Canada issue a heat warning?
Heat warnings are triggered when two or more consecutive days expect daytime maximum temperatures of 29°C or higher, with nighttime minimum temperatures of 14°C or higher.
