Rainbow crosswalks are a visible representation of MacEwan’s ongoing commitment to inclusion and celebration of the diversity that exists within our community.
Students tell us that they chose MacEwan because of the “rainbow representation” they see on the website, social media, articles and on campus. Recently, a parent of a student shared that they were concerned about their child attending post-secondary, but they were put at ease when they saw the rainbow crosswalk – knowing their child “would be safe at MacEwan.”
The Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity invites the MacEwan University campus community to join us in the annual painting of the rainbow crosswalk on Friday, May 31 at 10 a.m. in front of MacEwan Residence. Bring your enthusiasm. Paint and rollers supplied. No RSVP is required. In event of unsuitable weather, we will reschedule.
