Starting Monday, an exciting new MacEwan University campaign will hit the streets.
Driven by the tagline “Greatness. Powered by MacEwan.”, this integrated marketing and communications campaign celebrates the greatness within each of us and highlights MacEwan’s role in igniting and fostering greatness within our students, staff, faculty, alumni and community. Our focus on greatness is our clear and meaningful connection back to Teaching Greatness, the strategic vision of our university.
Over the next three to five years, this campaign will tell the inspiring and unique stories of our MacEwan community, improve awareness of MacEwan as a university of choice and encourage prospective students to choose us for their studies.
As we undertake our ambitious goal of increasing our student body to 20,000 FLEs by 2030, this campaign will help us attract and support this influx of students and additional staff and faculty required to ensure their success.
I encourage you to keep your eyes and ears open to enjoy this new campaign. You might see it on transit, billboards, online and social media. You might hear it on the radio and even see it (and hear it!) at the movie theatre. The campaign points to a new landing page on the university’s website (MacEwan.ca/Greatness) that illustrates what greatness means at MacEwan, inspires visitors to explore our programs and student supports, and features an ongoing series of vignettes to highlight greatness among our students, faculty and alumni. The campaign will also be incorporated into our communications; utilizing our storytelling channels and social media activities to engage our audiences in the campaign and share stories that illustrate greatness in its many forms. Everywhere you look, you will be reminded that Greatness truly is “Powered by MacEwan.”
Thank you in advance for allowing the campaign the time it needs to resonate with audiences, gain traction, build momentum and track results. The campaign’s success is dependent on consistency and clarity of messages which, in turn, encourages audience engagement. We appreciate and welcome your enthusiasm and thank you for not asking to adjust or change taglines to suit your area’s potential needs. Please consult with me or Leah Janzen, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer if you have questions.
Thank you to the Office of Communications and Marketing and Web Services teams who took risks, collaborated effectively and brought their best creative thinking to ensuring this campaign shows people just how great MacEwan is.
I hope you will take pride in seeing our university featured in this bold and creative way.
Thank you for all you do to Power the Greatness that is MacEwan University.
