Microsoft has implemented a new feature that allows users to set their working hours and location status. This feature is available on the web-based version of Outlook and the new desktop version only. This helpful feature will allow your co-workers to know when you are working on campus or remotely. This is extremely important for client service-focused teams. We highly encourage staff to leverage this feature to improve visibility so we can continue to provide excellent support to the university.

In addition to setting the work location, Outlook web users will also be able to set daily work hours that will impact the shaded areas of their Outlook calendar to indicate availability.

To utilize this new feature, navigate to Settings > Calendar > Work hours and location.

More help on using this feature is able in this MacEwan Help Centre Article.
