Have you interrupted a sexist joke? Made sure a friend got home safe? Called for help when you saw someone in danger? The Office of Sexual Violence Prevention, Education and Response wants to hear your stories.
A bystander is a person who is present during an instance of potential violence who may or may not choose to intervene. If you’ve made the decision to intervene, we want to hear about it! These can be stories that have happened anywhere and at anytime, not just on MacEwan campus. The stories you share will be shared with other members of the MacEwan community as we work together to prevent violence on campus.
Edited and anonymized versions of your story may be shared in bystander intervention workshops facilitated by the Office of Sexual Violence Prevention, Education and Response (OSVPER), as well as on social media and the OSVPER website.
To submit your story, visit the OSVPER website.
