I am pleased to announce that Dr. Annette Trimbee has appointed Julie Green as Registrar & Associate Vice-President, Strategic Enrolment Management. Ms Green’s appointment takes effect on March 1, 2024.
Over a career that spans more than two decades, Ms Green has undertaken registrarial work in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. She spent eight years as the Registrar at the University of Kings College in Halifax; she has executive experience with the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC), where she just served a term as Immediate Past President. In the last six months, she has been a Senior Consultant with Academica Group. She has B.A. and M.Ed. degrees from Memorial University.
The new Registrar & Associate Vice-President, Strategic Enrolment Management will play an essential role in helping MacEwan University achieve the goals of the Teaching Greatness strategic vision. Ms Green is a collaborative leader who has a proven record of both building and developing highly-functioning teams while working across units in pursuit of shared outcomes. Her student-centered and equitable approaches will inform recruitment and retention efforts as we seek to grow to 30,000 students while Honouring our Place in O-day’min. Her commitment to data-driven analysis will provide continuity with existing business practices, and her work on the technological side of the business will move our processes forward in the years to come.
An extensive, nationwide search was conducted by the recruitment firm Janet Soles and Associates. My most sincere thanks go to the members of the committee I chaired that made an appointment recommendation to Dr. Trimbee:

An Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Dr. McLaughlin will begin his earned administrative leave at the end of February.
