Microsoft Bing Chat Enterprise is now available for use by MacEwan University faculty and staff. Our current licenses do not offer this service to students and, as of today, we have not heard whether Microsoft will extend it to the student licenses at a future date.
It is built on the same AI models and data as ChatGPT-4, so you can use it to write and summarize content, create code, or answer complex questions. Bing Chat Enterprise also has access to current internet data, enabling it to supply real-time responses to current events.
We recommend using Bing Chat Enterprise at MacEwan as it ensures the protection of all personal and organizational data within our MacEwan tenant. No data provided in this chat tool is stored, available to Microsoft or used to train the underlying language model.
To use Bing Chat Enterprise, visit bing.com/chat and log in using your @macewan.ca email credentials. Once logged in, you will see a green protected icon by your profile. The following MacEwan Help Centre article provides more information on AI-powered Chat at MacEwan.
If you have any questions, we’re here to help! Visit us at the Technology support desk in room 7-292, chat with us virtually, or submit a ticket through the MacEwan Help Centre at helpcentre.macewan.ca
