Teapsy is a local business which has been in Edmonton since 2013. The owner is a MacEwan alum and currently operates four locations across Edmonton.
Teapsy’s vision is to offer a healthy, fresh product through freshly brewed tea, placing consistency and innovation at its highest level. Teapsy plans to provide a healthy and delicious variety of beverages and desserts to the MacEwan community. Teapsy offers a wide variety of bubble tea, a popular drink originating from Taiwan. The beverages range from milk tea to tea-based real fruit beverages, to ice cream smoothies to more. We also serve a range of desserts like Hong Kong-style waffles, ice cream and more.
Our brand is known for providing trendy bubble tea drinks and desserts that are suited to student demand. Our products target and cater to a segment that craves an alternative to coffee and caffeinated beverages.
We offer other fruit-based and tea-based beverages with roots in East Asia. Through our products, the campus community has the opportunity to expand their knowledge and appreciation for East Asian cuisine and culture. We also strive to educate others on the cultural significance of our products through our social media.
Teapsy is passionate about participating in student & campus life, and offering an experience that is attractive to young, trendy people in Edmonton. We’ve sponsored and partnered with various student organizations in the past and collaborated with local businesses to organize a music festival that allowed students from across Edmonton to network.
We prioritize sustainability and minimizing our ecological footprint by providing monthly staff training on greener environmental initiatives, categorizing our waste into dedicated containers, and using composable material for our containers, cups and straws.
We are the first bubble tea business in Edmonton to use compostable straws and we would be well-poised to provide other tenants with biodegradable and environmentally friendly containers, paper bags, straws and more.
