The role of Provost and Vice-President, Academic is an academic senior administrator appointment with a five-year term with the option to be renewed for an additional term.
Dr. Craig Monk began his term in this role on February 1, 2019. His current term ends June 30, 2024, and the university has initiated the required process to consider his reappointment to a second term. This process is governed by the Senior Administrator Appointments Policy and the Academic Senior Administrator Reappointments Procedure.
As part of the re-appointment procedure, Dr. Monk has formally outlined his achievements in support of the university’s strategic directions and has proposed goals for an additional term. His submission is posted on the university website.
MacEwan faculty, staff and students are invited to share their thoughts on Dr. Monk’s submission. Input from the MacEwan community is an integral part of the reappointment process and you are encouraged to participate.
