Are you interested in becoming a peer observer? If so, please join us for a two-day training session, August 15 and 16, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning’s peer observation process is grounded in appreciative inquiry. As such, the program celebrates the best of what is —building upon instructors’ successes and strengths while providing targeted, actionable and research-informed support. The session is friendly, collegial and will build institutional capacity to provide peer mentorship to the academy.
This session will take participants through the steps of the peer observation of the teaching process, which include:
- Accepting requests for a peer observation
- Facilitating a pre-observation meeting
- Conducting the actual observation
- Writing a POT report
- Facilitating a post-observation discussion and providing feedback
- Fostering ongoing reflection and support
Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
If you are interested in attending our two-day session, please contact us at teaching@macewan.ca.
