Enhance Campus Connectivity Project to bring improvements to the Wi-Fi network on campus.
MacEwan University is excited to announce a project to improve the Wi-Fi network on campus. This will be carried out in multiple phases. Phase one involves upgrading network switches on campus, many of which have reached end-of-life. To minimize disruption to faculty, students and staff, we are scheduling work over a seven-day period, during evenings and weekends, starting after 5 p.m. Where classes are scheduled, work will start after classes are completed on those dates. These improvements will enhance the learning experience for our students and provide a more reliable network for our faculty and staff.
Schedule:
Saturday, June 10: Allard Hall – 2nd and 3rd Levels
Sunday, June 11: Allard Hall – 5th Level
Monday, June 12: Allard Hall – 4th Level
Tuesday, June 13: Buildings 5, 6 and 7 – Lower Level, and Building 6 – 3rd Level
Saturday, June 17: Building 7 – 1st and 3rd Levels
Sunday, June 18: Robbins Health Learning Centre – Lower and 4th Levels
Monday, June 19: Robbins Health Learning Centre – 5th Level
Wednesday, June 21: Buildings 5, 6, 7, 8, RHLC, USC and SAMU
The project’s next phase will be the upgrade of Wi-Fi access points, starting in the summer months of 2023.
